I ordered this map to help with a go at Ben Nevis via the CMD arete. Great detail on a giant map. The only gripe I have is that the area I'm interested in hiking falls across the folds so I have to completely unfold the map to use it. This seems like a tiny complaint but I'd anticipate handling the huge map in the wild with rain and wind might be a very frustrating experience. Hopefully I'll find nice weather! I'm used to small Appalachian Trail maps which trade details for convenience in folding and waterproofness. All in all, I think this map is well worth purchase for this sort of expedition.Product details

Ordnance Survey Explorer Map 392 covers some extremely interesting ground for those travelers who came to the Highlands to hike or climb. This map sheet covers the Ben Nevis massif, including the Grey Corries to the East and the Mamores to the south. It also includes the West Highland Way from Kinlochleven at the east end of Glen Coe through Fort William and north. The map sheet tops out near Spean Bridge. The scale is a very useful 125,000 and the presentation is multi-color for contrast. Highly recommended.
